Road Tests
EnrollWHAT TO KNOW PRIOR TO BOOKING
We offer two types of road test appointments:
- A road test that contains a 15 min pre-lesson (45 minute slots). This is a highly recommended option as it allows us to run through the test/route with the driver right before their test, which raises confidence, comfortability, and the passing rate.
- Just the road test itself without a pre-lesson (30 min slots).
From there, you may add our highly-sought after add on: the scanning process, where we scan in your documents so that you can avoid the DPS after your test and have a temporary license mailed to you a few days later.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS TO GET MY LICENSE AFTER MY TEST?
HAVE AC DRIVING SCHOOL SCAN YOUR PAPERWORK.
The easiest option is to add on our scanning option for $60. This option can be purchased through your student portal. This option keeps you out of the DPS!! On average, it will take 4-5 business days to receive the temporary license in the mail from DPS. The real license will be mailed within a few weeks. You will not be allowed to drive alone until you have a license in hand.
- Fill out the Application for License Processing prior to your appointment. If you are not able to print this form out, we can do so at the time of your appointment, but having it ready if possible will help us serve you quickly.
- Under 17 years and 10 months at the time of the test: CLICK HERE for the DL.14B
- Over 17 years and 10 months at the time of the test: CLICK HERE for the DL.14A
- To be sure that the scanning process will work, be sure to create a login at TxT account HERE.
- The scanning process will only work if: you are a U.S. citizen, have not previously failed the test at another DPS, and do not have any open transactions at the DPS. If the scanning does not go through due to one of the regulations listed, the fee will be nonrefundable.
HAVE US CREATE A SEALED ENVELOPE FOR YOU TO TAKE TO THE DPS.
- You will need to make an appointment with a DPS office. (We suggest making this appointment in advance).
- DO NOT break the seal of your envelope, or the DPS will not accept your paperwork and you will have to have us redo the envelope.
- Many DPS offices have times daily where you can check at a specific time to book a same date appointment. Be sure to check your DPS's regulations.
- Take your sealed envelope, your permit, social security card, birth certificate, and your Application for License Processing. Below are the links for the application.
