OWNERS/INSTRUCTORS

With over a decade of experience in education, Joshua Carpenter brings a passion for teaching. His background spans youth ministry, charter schools, and both elementary and middle school education, giving him a well-rounded and student-focused approach to teaching. Shae Carpenter also has a background as an educator in Midlothian ISD. She is passionate about teaching, marketing, and creating a fun, inviting atmosphere for students to learn. She takes care of our online marketing and social media and is renowned for the videos from our tiniest of instructors. Recognized for his outstanding work in the classroom, Joshua was named Midlothian ISD’s District Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2023–2024. At AC Driving School, he teaches many of our classroom sessions and provides in-car instruction, guiding students with patience, professionalism, and encouragement every mile of the way.

Jon and Suzanne Carpenter have been licensed Driver's Education Instructors for 20+ years by TDLR. They have taught Driver's Education in Grayson County and at their own school in Whitesboro, which opened in 2019. They have since moved to Midlothian to operate a family run business. Jon is also licensed by the DPS Third Party to administer road tests from our location. Both hold master's degrees in education, special education, and counseling and are retired from full time careers in public schools, charter schools, and college level adult education programs. "We love teaching Driver's Education and we want our students to learn safety skills and to make progress with confidence in their driving tasks. We also strive to get our students and their families to the door of DPS successfully and be able to have a stress-free experience when obtaining their permits and driver's licenses."
